POCKET EXPEDITIONS

Pocket Expeditions is a slow burn city exploration game that helps you find the hidden corners and magic spots in your familiar urban environment.

The rules are very simple. Draw a card — and just try to do what it says as best as you can. How you interpret the task is completely up to you. My only suggestion is to take it slow and look for something that can surprise you every single time you play!

"find a place that is undisturbed by sound", "find something queer", "find a scary door"... There are 62 little expeditions in this deck, and as the world changes or you move to a different area, each of them can be played again.

I made this game because I am fascinated with the idea of using the real world around us to generate in-game events and unique playing experiences... but also because, while I really like walking around, my overstimulated brain gets bored really really fast. Pocket Expeditions allowed me to rediscover the joy of exploring the city, and also made the slightly mundane task of going from point A to point B into something slightly magical. Hope it does the same for you as well!
